HYPERCILITE is flash calcined kaolin with high brightness and excellent extension of TiO2, whiteness and tint strength. The process involves proprietary equipment, where a short resonance time and high temperatures create a unique pop – corn structure, which creates opportunities for the formulator to further extend TiO2 beyond what was considered the maximum using conventional products. This technique creates large numbers of intrinsically sealed voids within the kaolin particles. These tiny voids provide outstanding wet and dry opacity. The presence of these sealed voids distinguishes Hypercilite from conventional calcined kaolin.
